A-1 Airport Limousine Service, Inc. was founded in 1970 with a single Independent Contractor Vehicle that serviced the western suburbs of Chicago. Through the years we have grown to reach numbers well over 200 Independent Contractor Vehicles, and we now service the entire Chicagoland area.

Client Requests

• Upgrading of all DC's, File/Print Servers, Terminal Server, Exchange and Blackberry Servers from a mix of 2K & 2K3.
• Virtualization of all Servers to High-Availability, Fault Tolerant Operational Failover environment to support 24x7x365 operations.
• Entire project to be completed with ZERO operational downtime.

Challenges

• Complete upgrade and overhaul of entire IT Infrastructure with ZERO downtime or data loss.
• Implimentation of high-availability, fault-tolerant server infrastructure guaranteeing zero data loss and zero downtime in the event of hardware failure.

Interstate Solutions
We suggested the following to meets the client needs:

- Installation of VMWare virtualized environment with redundant Dell PowerEdge R710 Servers and Equallogic SAN providing 4TB of RAID50 consolidated storage for Servers and Data.
- Upgrade of all exisiting servers from 2000/2003 mix to Windows Server 2K8 Datacenter.
- Upgrade of Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 and upgrade of Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1 to BES 5.0 for 250 BB users.
